Romulus' Metro Charter Academy National Junior Honor Society collected an awesome amount of food for the needy during the 2006-2007 school year. They received an award from St. Mary’s Community Outreach Center and The John Bolde Memorial Food Depot for Outstanding Contributions and Community Support.
Metro Charter Academy's Student Council ran a program called Pennies for Patients during the past year. They collected and counted change for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The school collected nearly $2,500 for the Society. They also sponsor a lot of the fun at Metro: The Fall Bash, The Winter Blast, Spirit Week, Beach Day and four middle school dances.
Metro Charter Academy is proud to have a National Junior Honor Society and a Student Council. The National Junior Honor Society does many service projects throughout the community including a food drive. They have also offered homework assistance after school for students who need help.
